Home News Coaches to the rescue as low-cost airline collapses
19 April 2012 – Immediately after the sudden bankruptcy of Hungarian Low Cost flight company MALEV, Eurolines Romania made a smart move and offered to take care of stranded passengers who bought a ticket to and from Budapest in February 2012, by providing free seats on their coaches.
They also announced preferential rates, - 50% of the total cost of the ticket on their coach lines, for MALEV passengers who needed to continue their trip elsewhere from Budapest – a 'hub' for many other European countries.
