Home News First Euro VI Coach wins Spanish Bus of the Year 2012

20 March 2012 – The first coach to meet the new Euro VI emissions standards which comes into force in 2014 has won the Spanish bus of the year award 2012. The manufacturers have been able to resolve the problem of reduced pollutants and have lower fuel consumption by using new engine and fuel technologies, thereby addressing a major industry concern relating to the new rules.
In addition to the new environmental improvements the vehicle is the first coach for which Attention Assist is available. This is a system that registers parameters such as steering angle, speed, longitudinal and lateral acceleration, travelling time, control signals and driver changes. By comparing all this information, Attention Assist is able to recognise changes in the driver’s behaviour. If the data indicate a lack of concentration and drowsiness, a coffee cup symbol appears on the display as a hint that it's time to take a break.
A green and safe move!
