Home News Wifi tames rowdy students in school bus
|
What had started as an experiment to put a router on a school bus in Tucson, Arizona, has turned a rowdy bus into an Internet cafe. Students now finish homework assignments and play video games, rather than teasing, texting, flirting, shouting, climbing (over seats) and sometimes punching (seats or seatmates). Since the Wi-Fi router was installed, behavioural problems on the bus have virtually disappeared, and the ride has been a quieter one.
Such application of Wifi routers onboard road vehicles could be soon emulated and make commuting to work by bus or coach an ever enjoyable and fruitful experience!
