Home News BUSSTOP: the Virtual School Bus Stop
|
Launched in 2006, the BUSSTOP campaign aims to increase road safety for children, by providing proper information for teachers and parents through the internet, and training children on how to behave in traffic situations. The campaign also provides a platform where bus companies and educators can connect.
Through the campaign, numerous bus companies have been able to directly contact schools and parents to cooperate in organising numerous training programmes and workshops in schools, where they teach children about traffic safety, how to line up at bus stops, and how to safely enter a bus.
Bus operators are convinced that their investment is worthwhile: students that are aware of how to behave in buses leads to less stressful situations for the drivers, and therefore contributes to their own safety.
