Want a greener city? Grow plants on buses' roofs!

An NYU graduate student, Marco Castro Cosio, has found a good idea to associate buses with greener surroundings and cleaner air by turning them into urban gardens. According Cosio a public transit bus has a surface of 340 square feet, and if plants are grown on 4,500 buses, there would be 35 acres of extra green spaces in the city. Currently, the urban garden prototype is installed on the roof of the BioBus in New York and has been going around for the last five months.
