Home News Smart ticketing to come to Delhi buses by end of June
|
Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has planned to install electronic ticketing machines in 200 buses by the end of January. The state bus agency manages a fleet of 4.500 buses and it intends to have all its buses equipped with ETMs by the middle of this year.
This is a significant move, since it will allow moving forward towards integrated mobility cards for both buses and the Delhi Metro. A smart card is also in the pipeline, with DTC planning to have the common mobility card operational by the end of 2016.
