Smart Move makes inroads in MacedoniaAt its meeting held on 20 May, the General Assembly of the IRU Member Association in Macedonia, the Makedonija Soobrakaj (AMERIT), decided to step up its efforts to promote the global Smart Move campaign, by implementing a national campaign to promote the use of buses and coaches in Macedonia. “We will support the Smart Move campaign to increase the use of buses and coaches in Macedonia”, said Mr Zlatko Kocovski, Secretary General of AMERIT, “and we will launch a national Smart Move campaign towards our Members and our competent authorities.” Among the first companies that have pledged support for the Smart Move campaign in Macedonia were JSP Skopje, the largest public transport company in the capital city, Skopje, and the Sam Vel company from the city of Kavadarci, specialised in coach services.
