20 March 2012 – Peak-period commuters in North West Sydney will from this month have access to 24 new buses and 46 new services. The new services could slash 25 minutes from journey times as passengers will no longer have to change bus.
“We have listened to the community and I am pleased to say the roll-out of these new buses will start on 19 March” said New South Wales Transport Minister, Gladys Berejiklian.
The new services will also mean less crowding and a more comfortable journey during peak periods.
The 2011-12 Budget included funding for 261 new buses, including 95 buses for State Transit and 166 for private operators.
