e-buses soon to run in Geneva

Transports Publics Genevois has awarded a
$16 million contract to ABB to provide flash charging and on-board electric
vehicle technology for 12 TOSA buses. The innovative technology allows
buses to connect to the charging point in less than 1 second and to charge
in only 15 seconds at the bus stop.

Major automaker begins testing of automated
buses
Daimler’s first self-driving city bus has been recently seen on the
road in the Netherlands. The Mercedes-Benz Future Bus was tested on a 20
kilometre-long route, part of Europe’s longest BRT, in Amsterdam.
